Even without the characteristic self-reflexive meta-ness, KNIGHTS could have fit comfortably on the Dimension Films slate during the late 1990s horror renaissance.

What's great about this movie is the way it remains so gentle and light, despite tackling a story that could get pretty dark. Full Review

Rating: 3.0/4.0 -- ... the story lends itself to low-cost dragonslaying... Don't look for award-winning performances here, just actors having fun with a brilliant premise. Huzzah! Full Review

Supernatural slasher haunts a live-action role-playing game. The cast is clearly having fun, but none of it rubs off on us; Peter Dinklage and Steve Zahn are completely squandered. Full Review

"Knights of Badassdom" actually delivers everything the 2011 Danny McBride-James Franco comedy "Your Highness" purported to be but fell short on. Full Review

A spectacular horror comedy never afraid to dabble in the silly... Full Review

Clumsily edited, the movie is very uneven in tone... but the spirited cast emerge from the jokey carnage with dignity, if not all their body parts, intact. Full Review

Product Description:

A geeky group of Live Action Role Players (LARP) must summon their inner heroes when one of them inadvertently conjurs-up a sexy succubus with diabolical intentions. Deeply depressed following his messy break-up with Beth (Margarita Levieva) forlorn metal-head Joe (Ryan Kwanten) is abducted by his fantasy-prone roommates (Peter Dinklage, and Steve Zahn) and inducted into the world of LARP - where imaginative gamers assume the roles of knights, wizards, and maidens. As foam swords are drawn and cardboard battle-axes clash, Joe finds himself starting to have a good time when one of his roommates - a would-be sorcerer - casts a spell that actually works. Now, a cruel succubus has crossed into our reality, and she's claiming the lonely LARPers one-by-one. To make matters worse, she's assumed the form of Beth, which makes her nearly irresistible to Joe. With the evil strengthening and the body count rising, Joe and his roommates realize that in order to stop the seductive demon, they must cast aside their fake weapons, and summon the courage to fight a force of pure evil.
