Guy Mitchell was taken under the wing of record exec (and "Sing Along With..." recording artist) Mitch Miller, and he racked up nearly thirty chart hits between 1950-60. This album was Mitchell's last for Columbia and includes as a bonus track his number one hit, "Singing the Blues", which had topped the charts for an incredible ten weeks in 1956. Also features his monster "Heartaches By The Number".

Guy Mitchell was another (like Frankie Laine) "Discovered" artist from Mitch Miller. Mitchell took Millers 1st name at his "request". Guy sang all the standards and had many hits including Trudy Fair, Sparrow in the Treetop, and many more. His golden voice inspired many of the late 50's, early 60's "teen idols" He is missed still to this day by everyone loving great song interpretation...
