Entertainment Reviews:
What's really incredible is how far this film goes to avoid the ideas, feminist and otherwise, embedded in its premise.

...Amiably funny...
New York Times
Good intentions and one's own goodwill are soon diminished as script and direction conspire to render a sitcom satire that's indistinguishable from its target.

Time Out
The film looks and reads like a comic book; its characters are one-dimensional, and its plot is contrived.

...Unquestionably funny and often bizarre....Lily Tomlin is an extremely gifted actress-comedienne whose talents are put to good use...

Product Description:
Lily Tomlin stars as Pat Kramer, an ordinary housewife living in a quiet suburban environment. Her over-achieving, advertising executive husband treats her to all the goodies that his company represents. But it seems that Pat has developed an odd reaction to the chemicals in all those soaps, hairsprays and dishwashing detergents that hubby has been bringing home. And little by little, Pat begins to shrink -- to the point where at two feet tall she is a celebrity appearing on talk shows. But an evil syndicate known only as "World Management" decides to kidnap Pat, and use her blood to make a serum and shrink the entire world population. Now Pat and her family have to figure out how to return her to normal size and save the world in the process.
