Description by OLDIES.com:
Let The Music Play: The Barry White Story is an intimate portrait of the life and work of the legendary Barry White told through extensive archive interviews with the great man himself and new interviews with his family, friends and colleagues, including Smokey Robinson, Ray Parker Jr., Nathan East, Taboo (from Black Eyed Peas), producer Jack Perry, record company boss Russ Regan, Love Unlimited member Linda James, his ex-wife Glodean White and his children.
Fully authorized by the estate of Barry White, it tells how a poor boy from South Central in Los Angeles found a new life and worldwide success in music. It covers his early days as a writer and producer, the ups and downs of his career as an artist, and the sad circumstances of his death. The story is illustrated throughout by footage of Barry White in concert featuring classic tracks such as "Let The Music Play," "Can't Get Enough Of Your Love, Babe," "You're The First, The Last, My Everything," "Sho' You Right," "Staying Power," "Never, Never Gonna Give You Up," "It's Ecstasy When You Lay Down Next To Me" and many more.
