This Avengers film is so horrendously, painfully and thoroughly awful, it gives other cinematic clunkers like Ishtar and Howard the Duck a good name. Full Review

Neither elegant nor macho nor elegant-and-macho, Fiennes is terribly cast; Thurman at least provides the equivalent of a dressmaker's dummy on which to hang neo-mod fashions. Full Review

The only thing this Avengers shares with its swinging, earlier incarnation is a London setting. Full Review

...The rapport between Ralph Fiennes' Steed and Uma Thurman's Peel is agreeably droll and briskly seasoned with double-entendres...

The movie lets [Fiennes and Thurman] down with a patchwork climax that feels rushed and perfunctory. Full Review

Rating: 2/5 -- Fiennes and Thurman look fine in the familiar outfits, but aren't very good at banter, adventure or romance. Full Review

Thurman and Fiennes look great in the roles, but they don't generate a fraction of the kinky sexual chemistry that Macnee and Rigg exuded. Full Review

Product Description:

In the AVENGERS feature film, the characters of the cult 1960s television show are back at it again. The suave John Steed (Ralph Fiennes) and the sultry Emma Peel (Uma Thurman) team up to thwart the nefarious plans of Sir August de Wynter (Sean Connery), who is out to control the world's weather. Watch for Patrick Macnee, who played the original Steed in the TV series, as Invisible Jones.
