Entertainment Reviews:
One thing that’s not ambiguous is Schwentke’s commentary on how Willi Herold’s story, and the rise of the Nazi Party in general, reflect our current political moment. -- Grade: B

[I]t compels our attention with a remorseless, gripping single-mindedness, presenting Naziism as a communicable disease that smothers conscience, paralyzes resistance and extinguishes all shreds of humanity.

Hollywood Reporter
A corny but enjoyable disaster flick which makes up for what it lacks in polished CGI with a rattling pace and plenty of bracingly authentic scenes of screaming passenger panic.

Product Description:
German director Robert Schwentke's historical docudrama is based on the true story of illi Herold, a WWII war criminal known as the Executioner of Emsland. Max Hubacher stars as the notorious imposter who used a Nazi captain's uniform for abhorrent ends. He thoroughly abused his newfound authority by dispensing a sadistic brand of justice on the German army deserters and prisoners at an Emslandlager camp.
