Rating: 4/5 -- No matter where you are on the political spectrum, there's enough truth and questions to wrestle with for audiences to get a kick out of watching the absurdity of The Oath unfold. Full Review

The Oath is an impressive effort at satire that mostly hits the mark before venturing into weird darkness that almost knocks it off the rails. Full Review

Rating: 3/4 -- One thing that's admirable about The Oath is that Barinholtz never apologizes. Full Review

Rating: C -- The Oath is a horror movie disguised as political satire and you should watch it -- if only to get the conversation across the table started. Full Review

Rating: 3/4 -- I found it to be the equivalent of a free-swinging slugger who is willing to strike out once, twice, even three times - but then hits one clear out of the park. It's worth the risk-reward ratio. Full Review

Rating: 1/4 -- [Barinholtz] lacks storytelling chops, aiming for wildly provocative satire but instead churning out a technically spotty screed. Full Review

Description by OLDIES.com:

When high-strung Chris (Ike Barinholtz) and his more levelheaded wife Kai (Tiffany Haddish) learn that citizens are being asked to sign a loyalty oath by Thanksgiving, their refusal to sign along with the arrival of relatives and two government agents (John Cho and Billy Magnussen) sends an already dysfunctional family dinner completely off the rails.
