Entertainment Reviews:
Desiree Akhavan's first film, Appropriate Behaviour, was a ramshackle joy, and her follow-up, The Miseducation of Cameron Post, is even better. Already, Akhavan seems to have come into her own as a filmmaker. [TOP 50 FILMS OF THE DECADE]

Its quietness shouldn't be mistaken for carelessness as it defiantly drives home how barbaric this idea of changing one's true self is.

This take on teenage drama feels vague when pointing to the real issue and solving it in a short third act. This could have been so much better. [Full review in Spanish].

Description by OLDIES.com:
Cameron Post (Chloë Grace Moretz) is sent to a gay conversion therapy center after getting caught on prom night with another girl in the back seat of a car. Run by the strict and severe Dr. Lydia Marsh (Jennifer Ehle) and her brother, Reverend Rick (John Gallagher Jr.) -- himself an example of how those in the program can be cured -- the center is built upon repenting for same-sex attraction. In the face of intolerance and denial, Cameron meets a group of fellow sinners, including the amputee stoner Jane (Sasha Lane) and her friend, the Lakota Two-Spirit Adam (Forrest Goodluck). Together, this group of teenagers forms an unlikely family as they fight to survive.
