A bank clerk who won't say no, Dodie (Jane Powell) has three fiancés and can't decide which one to marry. First there's Pete (Cliff Robertson), a poor mechanic who can only bring love to a marriage. Next is a salesman named Buzz (Tommy Noonan), who promises a life of stability. And finally there's Neil the playboy (Keith Andes), a millionaire she's only just met.
