Description by OLDIES.com:
In 1980, Motorhead released their fourth studio album "Ace Of Spades." Loud, fast and overwhelmingly heavy, it would propel Motorhead into the ranks of Heavy Metal's elite and 25 years later is still considered a benchmark album in its genre.
Motorhead - Ace Of Spades sees Lemmy, "Fast" Eddie Clarke and Philip "Philthy Animal" Taylor talk candidly about the writing and recording of the album and the goings on inside the Motorhead camp at the time. Watch "Fast" Eddie as he demonstrates how the riff for "Ace Of Spades" came about.
Product Description:
Motorhead first formed in 1975 but endured many turbulent formative years before settling on the lineup of Lemmy Kilmister, "Fast" Eddie Clarke, and Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor. Throughout these early years and later ones, it was bassist and singer Lemmy who really brought the band together, remaining in the band long after many members departed. It was the band's fourth effort, 1980's ACE OF SPADE, that really set Motorhead apart from other acts. The album pushed speed, volume, and heaviness to the extreme, establishing Motorhead as a leader of the New Wave of metal emerging in Britain in the early 1980s. As part of the CLASSIC ALBUMS series, this documentary features song and video clips from ACE OF SPADES, accompanied by insightful interviews with band members, managers, producers, and fellow musicians, including Metallica's Lars Ulrich and Guns 'N' Roses' Slash, among others.
