Rating: 3/5 -- Man on a Ledge certainly has its moments and if you don't take it seriously it's good B-grade fun, but considering the calibre of cast and its novel idea, it doesn't live up to its potential. Full Review

Rating: 2.5/4 -- Man on a Ledge effectively keeps viewers on the edge of their seats for much of its run time before eventually slipping into conventional cinematic territory. Full Review

3 stars out of 5 -- It's enormous fun to watch these actors fine-tune their parts....Elizabeth Banks is marvelous...the trick of choosing which pieces of her to believe is the film's most impressive feature.

Rating: D -- A plain and tired heist movie with an interesting setup that is basically wasted with a lame script and uninspired performances throughout the entire piece. Full Review

Rating: 2/4 -- It's a slight thriller/action picture that doesn't aim high. Full Review

Rating: 2/5 -- [A] high concept action thriller that is about as Hollywood as they come. That's to say that everything is overblown, from premise to location and effects, and - like so many of its genre - it's entirely throwaway. Full Review

Rating: 3/5 -- A joyfully silly thriller that won't win any awards for subtlety, but it already knows that. Full Review

Product Description:

An NYPD hostage negotiator (Elizabeth Banks) attempts to talk cop-turned-fugitive Nick Cassidy (Sam Worthington) down from a high ledge, but she learns that he may have a hidden motive for threatening to take his own life. A priceless diamond has been stolen, and the thieves responsible are using Nick as their scapegoat. An escaped convict with nowhere to run, Nick realizes that no one will believe he is innocent, and he decides to take extreme measures in order to expose the men who set him up. Stepping out on a ledge 25 stories above the bustling concrete streets of New York City, the notorious fugitive quickly becomes a media sensation as the entire world watches, awaiting his next move. Meanwhile, Nick's loyal brother races to help clear his sibling's name and ensure that the guilty pay for their crimes before the situation ends in tragedy. Jamie Bell, Anthony Mackie, and Ed Harris co-star.
