Rating: 3/5 -- Zoo isn't particularly engaging visually, but for young animal lovers, the film's heart-warming story about children saving a baby elephant will be a joy. Full Review

Despite some flaws, it's great to see an adventurous kids' movie based in Ireland. And of course, it's hard not to appreciate a story about a baby elephant and a kid that loves animals. Full Review

Product Description:

Irish teen Tom (Art Parkinson) recruits his friends to help him rescue a baby elephant named Buster from the zoo during the World War II German air raids of Northern Ireland known as the Belfast Blitz. With bombs destroying portions of the city, local officials fear the zoo's wild animals escaping and decide to preemptively put them down. With his zookeeper father away to war, it's up to Tom to protect the elephant that he's bonded with. Written and directed by Colin McIvor. Penelope Wilton and Toby Jones co-star. Based on a true story.
