This much lower-key Election, which agreeably takes things nice and easy and never stresses anything too hard, is a real little winner. Full Review

Rating: C- -- Its reliance on formula is disappointing, effectively neutering what could've been a sharper, funnier, more abyssal understanding of obstinacy challenged by personal connections. Full Review

Product Description:

Overachiever Veronica (Olivia Holt) schemes to get her fellow high school student, eccentric old soul Bernard (Skyler Gisondo), elected to the Board of Education. Each teen has their own ideas for how Bernard will change local education policies. Veronica wants to abolish the class ranking system to better her Ivy League prospects, while Bernard wants more flexibility in order to better care for his grandfather (Bruce Dern). Their campaign gets complicated when the pair develop feelings for each other. Kristin Chenoweth and Kathleen Chalfant co-star. Directed by Eric Stoltz.
