The Beast in the Cellar

A soldier is murdered when his vehicle breaks down during manoeuvres in the English countryside. When the police inspect the body they are puzzled by the ferocity of the attack. But what kind of vicious beast could have inflicted such horrific wounds on its victim? In a nearby but isolated country house two elderly sisters are alarmed when they hear about the terrible killing. Are they just frightened the creature may strike again or is there a more sinister reason?
