Laura marries retired and reformed gunslinger Billy despite her brother David's objection to the union. Seeking to drive the couple apart, David deliberately starts a fight with Billy and seeks to blame him after being injured in the scuffle. Billy is sent to prison, and David concocts a new scheme to do away with him once and for all, while Laura and kindly priest Father Juan must prove Billy's innocence before it's too late.
EL ZURDO: After winning a game, card shark Pedro is assaulted on the street by the losing players. Though their faces were obscured, he recognized one of the men and manages to wound him.
