Description by OLDIES.com:

It is a long held misconception that great artists enjoy overnight success and appear from nowhere to conquer the world. The reality is that most work very hard and spend many years learning their craft. Long before the Walker Brothers, Scott Engel was making rock and roll singles in his native California. The rocking examples of West Coast teenage pop music bear little relationship to even the sophisticated uptown pop of hits like "Make It Easy On Yourself" let alone his later solo interpretations of the songs of artists like Jacque Brel. Nevertheless no self respecting fan or collector should be without the seminal examples of the early development of one of music's truly awesome and influential talents.
