In addition to the stellar regular cast (particularly Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hargitay), B.D. Wong has a recurring role as forensic psychiatrist Dr. George Hwang. SVU never shies away from real life controversies, and this season's finale centered on a sex scandal in the Catholic Church.
