Rating: 4/5 -- Daldry has a rare talent... for drawing out the very best from young actors. The sheer joy and energy of the boys propels Trash and keeps us rooting for good over evil despite the contrived ending. Full Review

Rating: 3/4 -- Comparisons to "Slumdog Millionaire" are inevitable, but the kinetic "Trash" has a rhythm all its own. Full Review

Rating: C -- Trash gets hung up on the "teaching" part-looking to inform the well-off about the struggles of Rio slum-dwellers-and for too long forgets that Mulligan's novel provided a pretty good plot. Full Review

Trash is a step up from Extremely Loud's cloying 9/11 exploitation simply by virtue of not being one of the most appalling movies ever made. It's still pretty crummy, though. Full Review

Rating: D+ -- Obviously, its heart is in the right place, and one can only hope the story and characters read better in Mulligan's book, but as far as "Trash" the film is concerned, the result is disposable. Full Review

Product Description:

When their friend is tragically killed, two distraught teenagers (deftly played by CLUELESS's Jeremy Sisto and GIA's Eric Michael Cole) get caught in a downward spiral of drugs, alcohol and partying. Under the influence and in emotional pain, they embark upon a crime spree that looks to be leading them to inevitable destruction. However, when they meet a beautiful, mysterious woman (Jamie Pressly of JOE DIRT) who takes an interest in them, redemption becomes possible.
