Product Description:
This compilation from The Timeless Media Group presents two original biographies of legendary American aviators. It begins with Charles Lindbergh (1902-74), and documents how that flier's first and best-known accomplishment - soaring the Spirit of St. Louis plane over Floyd Bennett Field in 1927 - only served as the overture to an amazing, bittersweet but often tumultuous life, filled with dazzling accomplishments, controversy, conflict and personal triumph. The second half of the release focuses on mogul Howard Hughes, the inheritor of a fortune in the oil business who then spun his resources into an astonishing life as not simply a flier, but a daredevil, inventor, actor and moviemaker. As a bonus, the collection also includes the once-controversial 1943 western THE OUTLAW, a burlesque that introduced Jane Russell to the world (and drew heat for its brazen sexuality).
