Arguably Bava's worst film. Full Review

Rating: 3/10 -- Hectic comedy in too many different flavors slapped onto a plot so malnourished it makes the slapdash storytelling in Bikini Machine look complex and deep. Full Review

LAVISH SPY SPOOF SEQUEL Movie Lover: from LOUISVILLE, KY US -- June, 13, 2016

THIS 1966 SEQUEL TO DR. GOLDFOOT & THE BIKINI MACHINE EMANATES A DISTINCTLY EURO MYSTIQUE, WITH ITALIAN HORROR CRAFTSMAN MARIO BAVA AS DIRECTOR. THIS SENSATION IS FURTHER ACCENTED WITH SUCH ITALO THESPS AS LAURA ANTONELLI, COMEDY TEAM FRANCO & CICCIO, FABIAN (WHO IS OF ITALIAN DESCENT) AS THE SECRET AGENT THIS TIME OUT AND FRANCISCO MULE (WHO APPEARED IN DANGER DIABOLIK IN 1968 FOR BAVA AND THE BIGGEST BUNDLE OF THEM ALL), APART FROM VINCENT PRICE WHO AGAIN ELECTRIFIES EVERY SCENE, MORE SO THAN THE ORIGINAL. THIS TIME OUT, PRICE IS FASHIONING HIS GIRLS AS PLASTIC WARHEAD-BOMBS TO 'DESTROY' THE NATO GENERALS AS THE INITIAL PHASE TO INITIATE A GLOBAL WAR BETWEEN THE U.S. AND U.S.S.R. PRICE IS INVOLVED WITH PEKING FOR THIS VENTURE. IN THE LAST HALF OF THE FILM, BAVA DIVERTS TO A SPOOF ON SILENT FILM COMEDIES WHICH SWEEMED INAPPROPRIATE FOR THIS TYPE OF FILM. APART FROM THAT, THIS SEQUEL IS QUITE LIVELY, WITH PRICE ENDING UP AS A PRISON COMMANDANT IN SIBERIA. A COMMENTARY ON THE COLD WAR? KINO-LORBER IS TO BE COMMENDED FOR RELEASING THESE TWO FILMS IN BLU-RAY, FOR THE FORMAT SHOWCASES THE HIGH-DEFINITION COLOR OF THE FILMS...
