Description by OLDIES.com:
This gripping story follows two brothers: Eric (Philip Dorn), the leader of an underground resistance group that broadcasts a clandestine radio show, and Kurt Franken (Jeffrey Lynn), a maimed but loyal German soldier who returns home unaware of his brother's activities.
Directed by Vincent Sherman (All Through The Night, The Hard Way) Underground steers clear of the usual war movie cliches and builds plenty of tension as the Gestapo gets closer to uncovering the underground network, the resistance relocates its operations to avoid capture, and Kurt begins to suspect his brother. An edge of your seat thriller, finally on DVD!
Product Description:
A solid, oft-forgotten WWII yarn in which Dorn portrays an active member of the German underground Resistance who must hide his activities from his loyal Nazi brother. Amidst all the espionage and betrayal, the Nazi slowly begins to realize that his leader (Hitler) is not so great and eventually joins his brother's underground cause.

A Great World War II Movie

I loved this movie! I did not expect it to be this fine of a film, but it is! I usually am not too crazy about Jeffrey Lynn, but here he shines as the German soldier trying to understand the situation in his country. Martin Kosleck is seductively sinister, as usual. All of the performers turn in fine performances, and the directing and cinematography are a delight.
