Troubled teens long have reigned as primary characters in cult films, and STUDENT CONFIDENTIAL capitalizes on the unbridled sexuality, comic melodrama, and troublemaking inherent in teens gone bad. Four wayward youths, including Marlon Jackson and Eric Douglas, brothers of, respectively, pop stars Michael and Janet Jackson and actor Michael Douglas, confront their suicidal guidance counselor, who demands that they straighten up or face expulsion. With scenes of hormone-addled teens running wild in the high school hallways, ample cleavage, and resistance to authority at every turn, STUDENT CONFIDENTIAL makes for a classic teen exploitation film.
