This 1975 actioner is worth watching for its vintage dress and decor-that and Pam Grier, of course.

What began as a genre of films exploiting the black audience by taking their dollars to satisfy a need to see themselves succeed, wore itself thin by developing into a transparent set of conventions.

Description by OLDIES.com:
Fred Williamson proves once again he's the ultimate soul brother -- dark, daring and ready for surprises. He and co-star Pam Grier heat up the sheets and the streets in this scintillating soul flick about a city ripped apart by prejudice, greed and plenty of gangsta action.
Product Description:
Duke has arrived in town to bury his brother and decides to reopen his brother's bar. The police expect payoffs to keep the bar open and when Duke refuses to pay, he almost winds up like his brother. But, Duke brings in reinforcements (most notably the beautiful and talented Aretha, played by Pam Grier) to wipe out the corruption until he realizes his friend is double-dealing and he has to wipe him out, too.
