The sequel to Sonny Chiba's most violent vehicle exhibits a marked change in tone, trading in most of the hard knocks for scatalogical laughs. Chiba plays Kouga, whose gang of outlaws are planning on stealing a diamond from a dangerous criminal. Campy dialogue and amateur filmmaking contend for chuckles with gags revolving around bodily excretions like snot, urine, and dandruff. Not to be missed by fans of this breed of comedy, EXECUTIONER 2 is probably not for the die-hard action purist, but all fans of the incomparable Sonny Chiba will find something here to enjoy.
