Product Description:
JOAN BAEZ already started entertaining fellow students with her guitar playing and vocal talents while still at school. During the late 1950s, while studying at Boston University, Baez performed at a folk club in Cambridge (one of the folk revival strongholds) and after an early taste of success decided to devote herself to her music. Musical role models were initially Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie and Harry Belafonte. Baez met up with the young Bob Dylan during a tour in 1961 - Dylan was supporting the legendary blues singer John Lee Hooker at the time. Joan started singing several songs written by Dylan and the friendship enjoyed by the two folk stars soon turned into a love affair.
